Praise

1 Hallelujah!
Praise God in his sanctuary.
Praise him in his mighty expanse.
2 Praise him for his powerful acts;
praise him for his abundant greatness. (Psalm 150:1-2 CSB)

I get it. You probably did not want to end the last day of this most difficult year thinking about praising anyone or anything.

Or, maybe you woke up thinking, “Hallelujah, its over with!”

While we may not end this year thinking much about praise, there is one thing that we must keep in mind. We are here, now, and tomorrow will be a new day and both today and tomorrow, God is in them both.

Thus, we should take today and reflect on what we do have to praise God for in getting us here. Yes, we may want to reflect upon some of the wreckage of this last year. But only to thank God for getting us through it and to pray for an improvement next year.

Many are ending this year still on shaky ground. We should also take time to pray for all of them, asking God to intervene for our country, it’s leaders and it’s people.

Tomorrow dawns a new day and there is much to praise God for today.
