16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel,[a] because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 CSB)

Obviously, when you write and publish a daily devotional there is no shame in my view of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

However, I am often concerned about the divine appointments I miss due too being too busy or too distracted.

Granted, this is not being ashamed of the gospel. However, it does make me ashamed of myself. What I seek is a life open to every opportunity God gives me. I just need to assure I am not in the way of those opportunities.

We may feel that God planned more for our lives but we allowed/allow our desires for the life we want to lead get in the way. But now, later in life, we may again feel that call and begin to open up to other opportunities.

I pray that God opens those doors today.
