6 … ‘Not by strength or by might, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord of Armies. (Zechariah 4:6 CSB)
Whenever a scripture comes to me multiple times in my morning reading I tend to take notice. I suspect God is looking to get my attention.
If you are like me, especially during difficult times like these, I try to make things happen in my own strength and power.
Our nature, especially for Type A people, is to make things happening when we feel they are not or especially when we feel like we have no control.
But sometimes God wants us to see what He is capable of and it is difficult to do this when we are trying so hard ourselves.
God may want us to allow Him some space to work. This does not mean that we stop everything we are doing and just wait until something happens. We still have our life to lead and work to do. But maybe it is time to let go of striving in some area of your life that does not seem to be working so that God can take over.
I know, right now, at least for me, there are a few areas of my life that I would do well to give Him total control over.
