13 each one’s work will become obvious. For the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work. 14 If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward. (1 Corinthians 3:13-14 CSB)

Our works will be put to the test when we reach heaven. They will be tested and revealed whether those efforts had eternal impact or were simply for ourselves here on earth.

Yes, we have to while on earth make a living as most of us will not go into full time ministry (ministry as a living). Yet, we are in full time ministry in that every opportunity we have to live in God’s plan for us and do God’s will is rewarded. Both here on earth and in heaven.

Thus, the quality of our work will be revealed in the fire. That which had little heavenly value will burn off and our faithful acts will shine like gold in the end.
