5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace[a] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1 CSB)
When we speak of peace, there are two facets that we must understand. Peace for our self which comes through faith in which we are justified with God by the acceptance of Christ. Then there is the peace we must impart to others through our faith in our actions.
Yes, there is an imperative peace that we should obtain through our faith. However, it does not stop there. We need to take this peace and present it to the world in a way that we then foster peace in those around us.
It is in this act that we defeat the enemy because hate cannot survive where peace reigns.
This is why scripture says, “Blessed, are the peacemakers.”
This too is part of faith and part of our walk with Christ. We are to bring peace and supplant hate.
