4 what is a human being that you remember him,
a son of man[a] that you look after him?
5 You made him little less than God[b][c]
and crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:4-5 CSB)

This piece of scripture is difficult to comprehend.

A little less than god, crowned with glory and honor.

Boy, most days I feel far from that. I feel a lot less than God and not worthy of anything.

But that is my insecurity and the enemy talking, and not what God had planned for us.

Think of how the enemy works us over. He finds every chink in our armor and shoves his arrows and fiery darts into those weak places. He exploits every possible weakness to tear us down.

Now think of how God works. He works to provide a shield to protect us from the chinks in our armor. He strengthens our weak places. He exhorts our every strength and works constantly to build us up.

Yes, maybe a little less, but so much more with God on our side!
