12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God. 13 We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. (1 Corinthians 2:12-13 CSB)

It is not easy to speak of spiritual things. Especially to people who may have little to no spiritual background. This can make for a very uncomfortable conversation.

But we need not be fearful of such conversations. The Spirit which we have been given will help in these situations to guide our words. But we should bathe such conversation sin prayer so that we are prepared.

We often expect that we should leave the “spiritual” talk to those who have been properly schooled in such things. However, few of the disciples had any formal teaching, only what they learned from Christ (although that was the perfect source). However, even being taught by Christ many did not feel up to the task He left them with to take the gospel to every corner of the world.

But the Spirit prepared them, as He will us.
