Once Trouble Passes

6 …I will praise your name, Lord,
because it is good.
7 For he has rescued me from every trouble,
and my eye has looked down on my enemies (Psalm 54:6-7 CSB)

We are quick to call upon God when the road gets rough, but once it smoothes out how quick are we to praise God’s name?

We cry out ever so quickly but we tend to praise ever so slowly. Some times we are waiting to see if the difficulty has truly passed. But more often we are simply only focused on one side of the coin.

That side is the side where God comes to our aid and has righted our wrong.

We must sign loudly upon the mountain tops as everyone can hear us. When we are in the valley often our voice is muted. God is a god of ever time, not just a genie to be called upon in trouble.

Thus make your praise loud and your sorrow soft. God is a god of deliverance so that others might see and be brought near.
