3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 2:1-2 NIV)

When we set our heart and mind to something we commit ourselves wholly to the task. This idea of heart and mind shows a total commitment where we have focused our spirit, our physical being and our mental state upon a given direction.

You may hear when we do not comit fully, “Well, his heart was not in it” or “He didn’t fully think this through.”

But when heart and mind are one words like “whole hearted” and “totally committed” come to mind and are evident to others.

Thus, set both your heart and mind to a committed life with and in Christ. By doing so every task has complete focus and direction to a heavenly goal.
