3 But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure[a] devotion to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3 CSB)

Do you ever consider just how easily distracted we are today. We are like goldfish who have an attention span of five seconds. To be honest, they may have us beat.

We do not like to look at it like seduction, but like Eve, our enemy is continually working to seduce us. To keep us from thinking about God and His plan for more than a few seconds at a time. Then he wants us on to something else, distracted by the shiny thing in front of us and not the true value of a deep relationship with Christ.

We must fight this by spending time in the Word and in prayer, seeking God’s will for our lives day by day, moment by moment, second by second.
