19 Furthermore, everyone to whom God has given riches and wealth, he has also allowed him to enjoy them, take his reward, and rejoice in his labor. This is a gift of God, (Ecclesiastes 5:19 CSB)
It can be difficult to see ourselves as wealthy. Especially when there are so many with so much more.
But is more really a good marker of wealth?
No, it is not. It is a marker of …. more. While money and possession make us seem wealth in the eyes of the world, it is not true wealth.
To know God, to have a good family around us, to be healthy, mobile, to have wisdom; These are the stronger markers of a wealthy life. Not every one even has these, but if we are left only with God we can truly say we are wealthy.
There are still the destitute out there living in mansions, driving expensive cars with fantastic careers who do not have God. For these who have not God we should pray in all our wealth.
Our true wealth.
And in this true wealth know that God will get us through these difficult times we are currently facing.
