A Quiet Life

11 …seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business,[a] and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, (1 Thessalonians 4:11 CSB)

I lead a pretty quiet life, for the most part. I tend to be a relatively solitary person as well. I spend time in the biker community and while I tend to be a quiet and solitary person, this part of my life is anything but.

Their lifestyle can be wild and rambunctious. We who minister here tend to be the calm in the storm. We tend to be the ones who bring quiet relief and reflection to a lifestyle that is marked by thunder and lightening.

“and after the fire came a still, small voice.” God speaks to us in the quiet. How can we expect to hear His still small voice if we never turn down the volume of life?
