4 Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

To take delight in something is to see it in both how we think and how we feel in a positive way. I give this explanation because we tend to see the second half of this verse without understanding the first.

When we “delight ourselves in the Lord”, we are putting His desires before our own so that His desires become the desires of our heart.
