7 For none of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. (Romans 14:7-8 CSB)
This can be a difficult scripture to understand. Ultimately, we live and die for the Lord.
Many want to live for Him, but few want to die for Him.
Yet, what this strives to convey is our lives are not our own if we profess to believe. We have, as believers, given our lives up for Christ. In doing so, whether we live or die is of less consequence than how we live. And to live is to live in Christ.
Thus, each day should be an endeavor to fulfill our calling in Christ.
