Guardrails

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel,[a] because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 CSB)

It can be difficult for some to speak about their beliefs and faith. I have spent my life talking to others, not only about my faith, but seeking to understand theirs. There cannot be a proper accounting of beliefs if we are unwilling to understand one another.

Additionally, there is no shame in our beliefs. Oh, many would say differently and want to berate us for not being tolerant. However, a belief system is based on a set of moral criteria that cannot include everything. It creates guardrails for living – no matter what the belief system may be.

How we speak to one another about these things is where we must be careful. But being careful and speaking in love is not the same as being intolerant.
