19 You are also to love the resident alien, since you were resident aliens in the land of Egypt. (Deuteronomy 10:19 CSB)

We are all aliens to somewhere. Or at least we were at some point.

Then people took it upon themselves to welcome us in, to love on us.

I have watched many business, church and other environments where people were not welcomed in. Yes, even churches. This is, in fact, why we have so many “church hurt” people. They were never welcomed into the fold. They felt like aliens and that feeling never went away.

This is bad enough in a secular world, but within the body it is against every aspect of scripture.

We need to embrace others in all settings so that they do not feel like aliens and they see Christ heart within us.
