Are your actions the same no matter where you are?

Have you known another who acts one way at home and another when away from home. One way when one on one with people and totally different behind the wheel of a vehicle? People who in polite company respond one way but when the company shifts they act another.

This is what it means to live a double standard.

This is a hard game to keep up. What happens when the darker self begins to manifest in the wrong situations? Sooner or later, when we foster a double standard, we will end up tripped up.

How much easier to simply lead a pleasing life? No pretense to keep up one way or the other. Simply work toward a pleasing demeanor and foster a single standard that  helps and does not hinder.
