25 Therefore, putting away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor,[a] (Ephesians 4:25 CSB)

It is not always easy to simply speak the truth. This is not to say that to lie is easier or right, but that it can be difficult to speak truth.

When we speak truth from scripture people can get offended because the scripture can lay bare the wrong we are doing. I too can highlight more subtle things that might sit just below the surface of peoples thin facades.

Thus, when we speak truth we must always do so in love. Encouraging and building others up while point out (purely via scripture and not in our own callable and judgmental way) what the Word has to say on the topic at hand.
