Get Out of the Way

15 And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. (2 Colossians 3:15 CSB)

Sometimes we can get in our own way. We need to learn to see when we are being our own worst enemies.

This scripture starts with an imperative; “And let” – we are to allow what comes next in. Not getting in the way, but moving aside allowing what? The “Peace of Christ” to enter.

Then we can allow Christ peace to rule over our hearts, which is what we are called to do. Not try to figure everything out in our limited capabilities but to allow Christ, who rules, to work things out.

Lastly, we are called to be thankful. Even if the world is in chaos around us, we are to give thanks to Christ. Why? Because he has our back.
