2 What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men[a] who will be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 2:2 CSB)

When we commit something to another, we are showing faith in them. We expect that what we have entrusted to them will be carried out.

God too entrusted us with a message to carry to others, teaching them so that they could teach others.

This is called the great commission and what we have been entrusted with is an incredible and miraculous thing that we should not be able to wait to tell others about.

Thus, He committed this message to faithful men (and women) to be able to teach others also.
