12 If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 each one’s work will become obvious. For the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work. (1 Corinthians 3:12-13 CSB)

Each of us has an opportunity, each day, to build into ourselves and others. We can make choices regarding the quality of materials (our actions) and whether we are building only for this world only or what we build for eternity (our impact).

Even when we are simply building others up we are showing the qualities evident of having Christ in our lives.

But if we are but building our own sand castles, then we must not be surprised when the tide comes in and washes it all away.
