7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:7-8 CSB)
Godly counsel and instruction can come form a number of sources. From those around us who seek God’s face first and provide invaluable insight. Or, it may come directly from God. He may speak to us in our dreams, or in life events, possibly even through the words of those He uses as simple instruments of his message.
When we lift our eyes and keep them on Him we can walk through our days stronger and not be shaken. Even though the world around us may seem to be crumbling, we can take Him by the right hand and walk through it all.
This may seem impossible if you are in the depths of dispare today, but He is ever there for us. Reaching out, desiring to embrace us in our pain. We just have to look up from the pit we are in.
