31 but those who trust in the Lord
will renew their strength;
they will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not become weary,
they will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 CSB)
Trust implies a reliance upon another that is based upon the inhearent knowledge that they will act with integrity and in our behalf. We do not have to concern ourselves that they will break faith with us.
Trust may be given freely or built over time. Honor should compel us to act in trustworthy ways and live lives expectant others will as well. But sometimes we get let down and once broken trust may be hard to regain.
With God we can trust freely, knowing that doing so will renew us, give us strength and help us rise up with confidence.
When I am feeling weary and faint, this scripture renews my strength.
