No Words

26 In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us[a] with unspoken groanings. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:26-27 CSB)

There are times in our lives where we just have no words. Situations and circumstances are such that we do not even know how to explain them.

We simply sit in dumbfounded silence, starring into space wondering … how!?

It is times like these that the Spirit within us cry’s out on our behalf. The Spirit communicates our fears, needs and anxieties to God in a deeper way than we can ever understand. In a way that does not just convey the situation but all of the underlying emotions that go along with it.

It is at these times when no words suffice that God is closest.
