Loving others is hard! God knew this and yet he loved us. So he gave us this scripture to remind us that He loved us first, thus, we must strive to love others.

Look at it this way. We are really not overly lovable creatures. With all of our idiosyncrasies and short comings there is little there to love. We are, typically, broken and fallen people. Few among us live up to God’s desires for us.

But he found us lovable!? How is that? A perfect God found us imperfect people lovable. That, sir, is mercy and grace at it finest.

He loved us so much that he gave his son up for us….
