16 I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will certainly not carry out the desire of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16 CSB)
We want what we want. But this is not an invitation to simply do what we want.
The desires of the flesh seperate us from the leading of the Spirit. We end up driven mostly by our material desires, those things that we can acquire in this world. Things that have very little lasting value.
We often put our faith in our wealth, status or state (well being) and all of these things are temporary.
Would that we were more worried about leaving a legacy that pointed where we are going, not where we are. To the eternal and not the temporary.
