65 You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word. 66 Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments. (Psalm 118:65-66)

Some times the Lord has to deal with us so that we gain discernment and knowledge, or to correct a behavior in us.

To be “dealt with” may not always feel good.

Typically when we say we need to “deal” with something there is an element of correction that may be needed.

Instead of chafing under God’s correction, while he deals with us, we should look at what we are meant to learn, what discernment or knowledge He is imparting.
