12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you as if something unusual were happening to you. 13 Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may also rejoice with great joy when his glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:12-13 CSB)

I have been going through the fire of late. I have been praying and asking God to give me a spirit of peace, but boy is that hard.

I know that the difficulty lies in my weakness and not any lack of God’s ability. He has this, I don’t, and I must do that most human of things and try to let go in my weakness and rely upon his strength.

Trying to find joy in pain is so difficult. But if we allow Gods great glory to be revealed in our weakness, we are strengthened.
