20 In every matter of wisdom and understanding that the king consulted them about, he found them ten times[a] better than all the magicians and mediums in his entire kingdom. (Daniel 1:20 CSB)

For some reason God has been leading me to the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego over and over in the last few days. God will do this some time wanting us to get a specific point. Aside from a sermon given on Sunday I have had no less than three other devotional or other references to this section of scripture in the last 24 hours.

This is a time when we must stop and ask God for wisdom and understanding, as he is clearly trying to get me to learn something. Now, some may say this is just coincidence. But I do not believe there is simple coincidence when it comes to God. No, He has a purpose in everything in or lives. Even if it is small and subtle.

To sit and pray for His wisdom and understanding is what I must now do and be patient and listen closely for His answer.
