12 I, wisdom, share a home with shrewdness
and have knowledge and discretion. (Proverbs 8:12 CSB)

Forgive the i-Indulgnace, but I think we have moved into a time where we fool ourselves that our smartphones are making us smart. Actually I think the opposite is true. We are trading wisdom (which is the knowing and doing of a thing) with knowledge, which is only knowing part). Wisdom puts knowledge into action.

Fram wisdom comes shrewdness and discretion. A proper application.

I see it frequently, especially in business, where people tend to be very smart and knowledgeable. However, because they have never practically applied this knowledge the expected wisdom is absent.

We must move beyond informational knowledge into applied wisdom.
