Examine All Things

21 but examine all things. Hold on to what is good. 22 Stay away from every kind of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 CSB)

The world is full of all form of experiences. All forms of possibilities. But not all things are good for us. Thus we must examine all things. Not only what we are doing but our motives behind what we are doing.

Being lead astray is the natural bent for us as humans. Live for self. Do what we want, what feels good, do not deny ourselves anything.

The Spartan’s said, “full bellies don’t plow fields.” Comfort and complacency can be our worst enemies. A bit of discomfort, a bit of denying ourselves, helps to build a healthy life.
