6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person. (Colossians 4:6 CSB)
We have a lot of daily interactions. The world is more connected today than ever. Thus we have the ability to influence others many times during each day.
Being gracious in our interactions helps others see our faith and the Spirit within. But we too need to season our interactions. In this, much like with a meal, we should be “salting” them to provide others a palatable interaction. Asking God for compassion and wisdom so that people will walk away lifted up and encouraged.
People remember those who do not seem to care, but genuinely do care.
