7 so that the proven character of your faith—more valuable than gold which, though perishable, is refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:7 CSB)

Some circumstances in our lives are there to help refine us, some by simple discomfort but some are trials by fire. We are put to the test and those who know we are people of faith are watching to see how we respond.

But if we keep our focus on Christ through the fire, we do not have to be overly concerned about what others see. They will see Christ reflected in us and in our actions.

God is looking not only to show others his glory, but to make it manifest in our lives.
