Blessed – We tend to throw the term around a bit.

When we are asked how are doing; “Blessed”

When we sneeze; “Bless you”

Yet, blessings are something that scripture and God take very seriously. Look at the scripture above again. What precedes the blessing; Taking refuge, rejoicing, shouting for joy, sheltering, loving and boosting of God.

And the outcome of the blessing is not things. It is “favor like a shield.” We have God’s favor, and behind it even the worst situations are made better.
