43 But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine. (Isaiah 43:1 NIV)

When someone calls us by name, they tend to know us. We feel special, acknowledged when others call us by name. To be pointed out by name validates us.

More so, God knows us not only by our name, but deeply by our spirit. He sent The Spirit to live within us so he could know us more and we could know him more.

God has called us by name, we are his; we should not fear because he is our sword and our shield, our comfort in the darkness.

We are known by name.
