Faithful Servant

23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (Matthew 25:23 NIV)

Take time today to read Matthew 25:14-30. This is the story of the talents. It tells of three servants entrusted with the masters money while he is away. The two given more invested the money and produced double. The one who was given the least buried the money because he was afraid of his master.

This seems a hard and cautionary tale, and it is. It is about how we use the time, talents and treasure God gives each of us every day.

So that when we go home, we will hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
