6 The point is this:[a] The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7 CSB)

At this time of the year it is easier to give because of the season. However, God looks for our generousity to be something we foster throughout the year. Not just in our giving to the church, but in our willingness to give to others sacraficailly. This can be from our financial means, but it may also be with our time or with our skills. There are many ways to give, reaching out to others in need. Many times the emotional bank accounts need to be replenished this time of the year as well.

God loves a cheerful giver.
