7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7 NKJV)
Have you ever had the chance to be out in dense woods when the moon gets obscured by clouds? Suddenly, the scant light you had turns to deep shadow and you either hope you have a flashlight or that the moon reappears so you can find your way. It can be daunting and a bit scary.
We too want to keep from the dark shadows of walking outside of Christ light. We know, intricately if not spiritually, when the path ahead in life begins to be covered in shadows. When we choose a path that may provide momentary pleasure or excitement, but we know it is not where we should be. It’s interesting because we know it all too well and yet, often, we choose to walk the darker paths.
When offered the worlds path or the enemy’s darkness, we need to be strong and choose the path of light. There comes a point where we may find ourselves in nothing but darkness if we are not careful.
Reflect on: The choices you make each day that keep you walking in the light.
