40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:40 NKJV)
God desires that all come to Jesus saving grace. There is no one who is beyond God’s love and the only unforgivable sin is unbelief, and some will suffer this fate. But we do not have to. God only ask that we look upon the Son and his work upon the cross where He died for our sins and believe in Him. This is not a complicated transaction.
However, what comes after my seem complicated. Once saved we are asked to work out our salvation. Not meaning that we can do anything to earn it, but that once the free gift is given that we desire to do God’s will. Thus, once we become sons and daughters we should desire to do God’s will and live a life of faithful service, working out that salvation.
We can never lose our salvation, but our desire should be to do all we can as part of our belief.
Reflect on: Just how your life represents you working out your salvation.
