5 Let your graciousness[a] be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:5-6 CSB)

The Lord is near. Don’t worry about anything.

This is not only the hardest part of this scripture but the one thing we want most desperately. To know God is near and not to worry.

But there is more to the verse; “but in everything, through prayer and petition (and) with thanksgiving, present your request to God.

So the statement we want has conditions that we often forget. Prayer, we all know, is powerful. But pray with petition and thanksgiving…here in lies how we are to reach out to the mercy of God.
