7 If you abide (remain) in me and my words abide (remain) in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 CSB)

Many may read this and miss the central point. They see “ask whatever you want and it will be done for you” and then get disappointed when things do not go their way after praying.

But the true central point is to “Abide”. We must abide in Christ and have His words abide in us. When this happens what we ask will most likely be within the will of God.
