105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105 ESV)
When the moon is not out and it is a dark and cloudy night, how do we find our way? A light of some sort of course. And if it is a good light we may be able to see quite a way ahead of us. But let’s consider a dark and foggy night where the light only penetrates a few feet around us. These nights are much harder going as we must be far more careful of where we step.
Life can be much the same. We can have periods where the path is sure and the way before us well lit, or we can experience very dark times where we have no idea where we are going or what might happen.
When we relay upon the light of our faith even the darkest times in our lives we can rest assured on the Father’s guidance. He will provide a lamp to our feet to light the way. And when all seems lost, we can fall back into His arms and simply allow Him to work on our behalf creating the path.
Reflect on: The dark times and how the Father provide a light to your path.
