16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 ESV)
How is it that we want to live our lives in a godly manner, living for God, but we do not want to tell others about this good news or who God is to us?
I get it, it can be uncomfortable, but why so?
Scripture tells us that we should be bold.
Scripture tells us that we must confess God before man.
Scripture tells us that if we will not acknowledge God before man, why should He acknowledge us.
Also, hasn’t He done good works in your life? Isn’t that reason enough? But more so the fact that Jesus is the only way to heaven! That should get us talking to others.
But we are not on the lookout for these divine appointments. It is just easier to say, “well, others will see how I live my life.” Really? Are you sure that is telling the right story. And what if they have no reference point to understand how or why you live the way you do?
You see, telling others should be a basal need for us. We need to confess God before man. We need to take that bold step to actually reach others and let them know about our (and their) God, for I am not ashamed!
