5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 NIV)

When we are dealing with a painful situation it is easy to forget that Christ was crushed so that we could be healed.

Consider that for a moment; Crushed. That is a pretty severe word. But consider too someone taking on the inequity of the ages and paying the blood sacrifice for it.

And what did it bring us; Peace.
