In His Eyes

18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.” (1 Samuel 3:18 NIV)

There are times when we wonder why something is happening to us or to our friends. In our eyes it seems unfair. However, in His eyes there is always a reason for what we experience in this life.

When Eli heard the prophecy God had imparted to Samuel he was resigned to accepting what was “good in His eyes.” This could not have been easy, but Eli’s faith allowed him to accept what was to come. Trusting in God for strength through all that might happen.

Faith in the eyes of difficulty is the hardest wrought faith. Some times we must just resign ourselves and accept what is good in His eyes.
