31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32 NIV)
Throughout life there are times when we may feel like Simon, sifted as wheat. Chaff has to be sifted when wheat is gathered so that what remains is just the good wheat. Our lives can be like this wheat, covered in chaff and waiting to be sifted.
However, Christ is there to make sure that only the wheat remains if we are sifted so that we may strengthen others through our trials.
