⁴ He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things^[a] have passed away. (Revelations 21:4 CSB)

I am overcome today. The tragedy of the elementary school shooting is beyond words. My wife is an elementary school teacher. I watch the love she pours out on these kids and I see the difficulties they deal with and my heart aches. At times like this we should be overcome.

I cannot imagine the pain of these parents and this community. We should all be outraged over the loss of these innocents. If this does not convince you that the enemy is at work and evil exist in this world I hazard to imagine what could.

Our scripture confirms to us that Christ has overcome death and God will wipe away every tear. Grief, crying and pain will be no more. So I say, come Lord Jesus, come! Our world needs to be cleansed of the workings of the enemy, we need to come together to be of one mind and pray for those who hurt.

I struggle this morning to string the right words together, but there is no order to put them in to speak of this. I can only raise my face to heaven in prayer and allow the tears to run for these.
