14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15 NIV)

We are told that if we ask, and what we ask is according to God’s will, he will hear nad answer us. It is easier to just complain that our prayers are going unanswered. However, most often we never ask ourselves if what we are praying about might be in His will. We are more concerned about our will. We are unwilling to search our motives behind our prayers.

Sure, praying for others wellbeing we hope is within God’s will. However, as often happens, He has different plans that we cannot fathom.

Thus, we must simply ask and pray that we are doing so in His good will.
