So Gideon sent the rest of the Israelites home but kept the three hundred, who took over the provisions and trumpets of the others. (Judges 7:8 NIV)
Gideon took the 300 remaining and fought an army that put his troops at 450 to 1 odds. Insurmountable by anyone’s standards. But with God anything is possible and God won the day.
When the odds are against us we must remember that we have one who is bigger than the odds for us. It may just be that the odds are stacked the way they are to show God’s glory in the outcome.
Thus, being in a place of insurmountable odds may be the best place for you. Even if it does not feel good and you are outnumbered 450 to 1.
