34 He mocks those who mock
but gives grace to the humble.
35 The wise will inherit honor,
but he holds up fools to dishonor. (Proverbs 3:34-35 CSB)

We live in a time where everyone wants to have their say, no matter how far that say may be from what is right. Additionally, they want to mock those who hold up anything as right.

They ask, how can we know what is right and they mock us for our ignorance and intolerance.

Knowing what is right comes from wisdom, and wisdom comes from God and what we can learn and apply from scripture.

However, mankind in its fallen and sinful state, wants to dictate its own right, which is often far from God. It wants to shout and mock anything and anyone that stands upon a moral conviction.

It is easy to then be silent and opt to step away from the hard conversation. This is just what the enemy wants. But we cannot step away, be silent or opt out. We must stand for our belief and work to be the voice of reason with as much love and compassion as we can muster. In this God gives us the grace and strength to stand against the tide.
